RE: Requesting assistance from ship owner and cargo owner of MT ARISTA LEO detained by Vietnam Coast Guard Region 3 on 09 Mar 2019:

On 09 Mar 2019, while patrolling in the area South East of Con Dao Island within Vietnam waters, the Vietnam Coast Guard arrested MT ARISTA LEO (Singaporean Flag) for its illegal ship to ship transport of gas to MT GLAYDYS LUCK (Vietnamese Flag).

At the time of inspection, ship master of ARISTA LEO could not provide documents on the origin and legitimacy of the gas on board. Up to this time of this announcement (15 Mar 2019), the Vietnam Coast Guard has not fully received details of ship owner, cargo owner and these above-mentioned documents.    

This is the announcement of the Vietnam Coast Guard: we request ship owner, manager or legal representatives of ARISTA LEO and of the cargo (gas) on board the said vessel to provide all documents (original, with consular legalization) as proofs of the legitimacy of the vessel and the cargo on board. Authorized person/organization must have authorized letter (original, with consular legalization).

Within thirty (30) days off this announcement, if ship owner, manager or representatives cannot come to the Vietnam Coast Guard Region 3 Headquarter, or fail to provide documents as proofs of the origin of gas, and the legitimacy of the vessel, the Vietnam Coast Guard shall handle the case according to the provisions of law.
